The Ombudsman for Banking Services (OBS) visits Mpumalanga communities |
One of the Ombudsman's functions is to educate the banking customer about the existence, role and procedures of the OBS.
Amongst the ways that the OBS achieves this task is to collaborate with established organisations and institutions whose core function is to inform and educate the South African consumer about their rights and all consumer-related information.
The OBS will be engaging with South Africans throughout the country in order to promote awareness about the Ombudsman's services.
About 500km from Nelspruit is the KwaMhlanga urban - rural settlement, where the Ombudsman team gave a presentation and engaged with the community about good banking behaviour. This open and interactive platform is refreshing and permits an excellent opportunity for the community to ask questions and gain knowledge and understanding about the Ombudsman's services.
Visit the Ombudsman for Banking Services pages on Facebook, My Space and Twitter for more activities and information about the organisation.
