Jason is a Chartered Accountant with 15 years of banking experience specialising in payments, regulatory risk management, operational risk management and governance and ethics. . He has a B Com from WITS (cum laude) and a B Com (Hons) from UCT.
Jason is currently the Head of Ethics and Conduct at FNB. This program focuses on managing the conduct risks within FNB and promoting an ethical culture. Jason has previously managed the FNB Regulatory Risk Management (RRM) and governance program as well as the FNB operational risk management program.
Jason currently holds board positions at Bankserv Africa, SBV and the Ombudsman for Banking Services. Past board positions in the banking industry includes South African Bankers Risk Company (SABRIC), South African Fraud Prevention Services (SAFPS) and Payments Association of South Africa (PASA).
Jason’s career started in auditing with PWC specializing in Information Technology which included a 2 year secondment to the London Office. He was part of the team which established mobile telephony in South Africa (though Vodacom and Vodac) and established Ecolab's (a Fortune 500 company) South African operation.
Jason is married to Debbie and has two children both at high school.
