Felina Fernandez joined Standard Bank nearly 20 years ago, after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant, and completing her articles of clerkship at Horwath Leveton Boner. Her career at the bank spans a number of different roles. She initially joined the Asset and Liability Risk Management Division, and subsequently moved on to running the Money Markets Funding desk in the Global Markets division. She later joined the Client Coverage team, to head up the delivery of the global CRM offering, and develop client reporting and metrics. A short while later, she moved in Finance when she was appointed the CFO for the Corporate and Investment Banking Division of SBSA. After three years in her most recent role as the CFO of Global Markets, she took on a Group-wide project to support various business divisions with the development achievement of their strategic goals, in order to Deliver Standard Bank Group’s FY2020 aspirations. This role has since expanded to include the Execution of Business Strategy and Transformation.
